Andrew Gaddis: “You get to learn about different places without leaving your state.”

Started as: Housekeeper

Currently: Guest Service Supervisor

From flexible schedules to better benefits, Gen Z is changing the game on how the workplace operates. Here is where hospitality can help bridge the gap.

At age 17, Andrew Gaddis was drawn to hospitality because of the travel opportunities, career growth, and close relationships with colleagues. Two years later, Andrew thrives as Guest Service Supervisor at the AC Hotel by Marriot in Frisco, CO.

“There is always room for growth and everyone wants to help you,” says Andrew. “It’s really fun!”

In the industry, coworkers quickly become the people you rely on – both professionally and personally. Andrew can always count on his staff for an encouraging word or a night out at the end of a long day.

“We’re here for the good, the bad, and everything in between,” says Andrew. “You definitely become a family.”

As a new resident of the mountains, Andrew is taking next winter to dive into winter sports. While he and his partner love to do everything together, they are currently focused on learning how to ski and snowboard on the best powder in the country.

“I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” says Andrew. It’s the best choice I’ve ever made.”
